These are works of art for MICE (Yokohama Minato Mirai International Convention Center, or commonly known as Pacifico Yokohama North) opened in Yokohama in 2020.  Entwined with planters along the pedestrian deck straight to the sea, the benches are arranged to blend in with the surrounding architecture.
Jellyfish (kurage, in Japanese) appear to float lightly in the sea, but, in fact, their bodies are massive and surprisingly elastic.  Recalling the texture of jellyfish in my memory, I worked on these works.  These seven jellyfish on natural lawn are introduced as works of art on which you can sit.
