HART Modem
A large industrial plant often deploys a myriad of field devices; this service tool allows on-site checks of the status of communication between the field devices and the control room via HART (Highway Addressable Remote Transducer) protocol. It provides diagnostics by transmitting status information on each field device to a PC or tablet even on a site with poor footing. Taking service conditions into account, we employed design features for the convenience of on-site workers, such as a body shape that fits in a palm and is easy to hold, an operation panel visualizing diagnostic procedures, and an impact-resistant case in easy-to-find colors in case of an accidental drop.
